First, let’s find out what’s new in this Newsmatic update.
What’s New?
Built with both optimization and style in mind, our new update will blow your mind (figuratively, of course!) with its practical image editor, while new layouts and animation styles will enhance your website visitors’ browsing experience.
1. New Main Banner Layout
Our new main banner layout presents slider on the left and trailing posts on the right. You can present trailing post columns in two ways – either side by side or top-bottom.
Looks cool, doesn’t it?
2. Image size, ratio, and border radius editor
The Customizer Image Editor is the highlighting feature of our new update and the one we are most proud of.
This setting is available in all of our news blocks.
You will have the privilege to select different image settings for different device categories. You may add it on desktop but not on mobile. The choice is completely yours.
A. Image Size Setting
Choosing the appropriate image size to load on the page means fewer resources to download and faster page-load speed.
Now, you can choose the appropriate image size in each block from our Live-Customizer.
For example, choose a medium or small image size for News list and a large image size for Slider.
B. Image Ratio Setting
The image ratio setting specifies the height of the image in the block.
Use the image ratio along with the optimum post-excerpt characters and enhance the visual presentation of the news on your site.
C. Image Border Radius Setting
The image border radius setting defines the radius of the image’s corners.
Use it to give a fine touch to the images’ corners and make them look pleasantly different from their usual sharp-edged corners.
3. Captivating hover effects
It is essential to publish and present news with style that grabs readers’ attention.
That’s why we’ve added an effect to each title hover animation and image hover animation.

Updating your theme is a straightforward job. Update your theme directly from the WordPress dashboard by clicking the ‘Update Now’ button on the Appearance > Themes page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Few of our Newsmatic Theme users have contacted us telling that they faced the Image size distorted issue after updating. If you also are facing it, we kindly request you to go to Customizer and click on ‘publish’ button. It should fix the issue.
